Cores

The Rhode Island Hospital Injury Control Center for Biomedical Research Excellence (COBRE) is made up of three Cores—Administrative Core, Digital Innovation Core, Research to Practice and Policy Core. Together these Cores support the research activities of project research leaders to ensure their transition to independently funded scientists.

  • Administrative Core

    The Administrative Core enacts an organizational structure consisting of the following boards and committees to to carry out the COBRE mission.

  • Digital Innovation Core

    The Injury Control Digital Innovation (ICDI) Core transforms the measurement, development, and delivery of injury control research on a wider scale through expert support and technical assistance in digital health innovation for junior investigators and COBRE-affiliated researchers at Rhode Island Hospital as well as the broader scientific community.

  • Research to Practice and Policy Core

    The Injury Control Research to Practice and Policy (RPP) Core equips COBRE-affiliated investigators with tools to tailor their study methodologies and dissemination strategies for accelerated impact on clinical practice and policy. The RPP is led by director Lindsay Orchowski, PhD.
